Let a texture appear and disappear

Step 1: Draw the entrance

1. Open FirstTrack.
2. Assign the texture to its own Mixer insert.
3. Add Fruity Balance to that insert.
4. Right-click its Volume knob and choose Create automation clip.

Step 2: Shape the movement

1. In the Playlist, add automation points.
2. Make it rise from silence to a useful level, then fade back away.
3. Play the transition with the song.
4. Change the curve until the entrance feels intended.

Listen for: the texture rising out of silence and fading away again.

Step 3: Save and check

1. Save FirstTrack.
2. Check that the texture disappears where you expect.
3. Play from bar 1 and check the opening level is correct.

Listen for: the right level at bar 1, and the texture gone where you expect.
