Clean the phrase edges

Step 1: Trim the chosen take

1. Audio: trim unused space with the Audio Clip edges.
2. Keep Stretch off.
3. MIDI: inspect each note’s start and length in the Piano Roll.
4. Keep an untouched version.

Listen for: the phrase starting and stopping without unused space.

Step 2: Make the joins clean

1. Audio: add short fades.
2. Check for clicks or cut words.
3. MIDI: shorten accidental overlaps.
4. Adjust only distracting timing.

Preserve the feel: fix only what distracts.

Listen for: no clicks, no cut words, and the same feel as before.

Step 3: Save and check

1. Play the phrase in context.
2. Check that its first sound and ending stay intact.
3. Save.

Listen for: the first sound and the ending, both whole.
