Settle the main performance

Step 1: Choose one performance problem

1. Listen to your lead in context.
2. Pick one phrase with awkward timing, unclear words or a delivery that doesn’t fit.

Step 2: Replace that line

1. Record a few versions, or edit the MIDI phrase.
2. Choose a complete phrase that works.
3. Audio: trim and fade the replacement.
4. Keep the dry original.

Step 3: Save and check

1. Listen across both boundaries of the changed phrase.
2. Check its entrance, timing and ending against the neighbouring sections.
3. Save.

Listen for: the entrance, timing and ending sitting with the sections either side.
